I went through a stage of really wanting to learn about environmental issues and then I ended up creating a website. I really wanted other people to be able to be educated on this and be able to share my appreciation of nature. It was incredible seeing the positive feedback I was receiving for all my effort of starting this whole organization. Creating this space of people like us was an incredible experience and I’m super excited for the things to come.
I love going on hikes at sunrise and painting at the park.

Honestly, I just gave the idea for the website and then I ended up being a part of the club. I eventually learned to enjoy venturing out and going on picnics and hikes with Natalie. This enthusiasm spread to my family and because I was surrounded by people who appreciated nature, I became grateful for nature as well.
I enjoy listening to podcasts while painting and watching Netflix.

Hello, my name is Evan Seki. As the only junior class officer, I hope to do my part in founding this club and continuing its legacy into next year. I run for the Ayala cross country team and I am currently training for a triathlon. Outside of school I am mostly well… outside. I joined dear trees because the importance of this club means more to me than getting volunteer hours or another club to write down on a college application. To me, the bliss of nature brings serenity. I found myself at my happiest points when relishing in the gift of the environment. In my low points, meditation in nature has always remedied my inner turmoil. Truly, nature has set me free. This club is a place where we could share these similar beliefs and advocate for the protection of nature so that future generations could enjoy the same things we do. The greatest change has always begun with a small group of determined people. By being in this club I hope to be a part of that small group of determined people.

I’ve always been interested in conservation and healthier living and they just do happen to tie in together. This club was a good opportunity to help push something that I’m passionate about with like-minded people. I enjoy music and art and try to see the beauty in everything, which is probably why I was attracted to the idea of nature conservation in the first place.

Hi! My name is Cadence, and I joined Dear Trees because it seemed like a fun and effective way to spread awareness on climate change. I enjoy running and swimming, so I am always surrounded by nature. Since I am frequently outside, how we impact the environment means a lot to me. As secretary of Dear Trees, I hope to leave a positive impact on the world and encourage everyone to join and do so as well! :)

My family and I have always been big enthusiasts about exploring nature and spending time outdoors. Whenever we get the chance, we would venture out and enjoy our surroundings. This not only allowed us to connect with nature but provided us the opportunity to be able to spend more time together.
